Sutherland Communications is a business mentoring and support consultancy, based in Essex. It is the brainchild of husband and wife team Richard and Jill Willis, who in addition to their role as mentors and business consultants, are also directors of web based career mentoring site 925dream, and own and run their own successful cafe catering business, named Best UK Sandwich Bar 2009 and New Business of the Year 2008. Through their experiences of running their own businesses, they recognised that there was a distinct lack of all-round mentoring and support designed specifically for small business start-ups and owners. Yes, there were business mentors, communications consultants, human resources consultants, business consultants, designers, marketers… the list could go on and on… But, there was no one service, designed to provide busy small business start-ups and owners with a personal mentor, trusted advisor and hands on all-round support. So, they created Sutherland Communications. Now they put their past experience as marketing and advertising professionals, and their current experience running their own businesses to good use, by helping others to make their businesses a roaring success.
